PINGL Limited approached us with their idea to revolutionise mobile messaging - a messaging app focused on privacy, security, and the carefree sharing of messages, pictures, and videos.
The app was to feature standard one-to-one messaging, group messaging, and media messaging, but also go the extra mile with the 'ping' feature, whereby pinged content could only be viewed once, for a short period of time, and expired forever after being seen. If a recipient tried to screenshot that ping, the sender would get notified about it. In addition, all messages should be encrypted, and accessing the messenger needed to be straightforward.
Our development process provided PINGL with the flexibility to evolve the app's feature-set whilst maintaining their USP.
We used a closed-group of testers to test-flight new features and gain valuable feedback & insight that enabled PINGL to grow the product based on customer needs. In-app analytics were used to understand how users interacted with the app, in order to streamline the user-experience, and to help track down any issues.
PINGL Messenger is a real-time messenger that was developed exclusively for iOS in early 2014.
